So I finally took the plunge and created a blog! When I was pregnant with my daughter I contemplated blogging so I could keep up with her milestones and share advice but I guess I was to intimidated at the time and now I regret it. Right now I'm 37 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and I figured this time around I'm doing what I want, I'm not letting my fears get the best of me! I love reading other families blogs and getting advice, recipes and tutorials on so many things I hope I can one day be as much of a help to people as they have helped me!
A little bit about our family:
I'm Ivy, I am a stay at home mommy to Jade who was born January 10, 2012 via c-section. I am also as I said before 37 weeks pregnant with baby #2 a boy whose name will be Cash and he is due to arrive September 16 via scheduled c-section! My husband is Aaron, we've been together since February 2005, and have been married since January 2009. He's an amazing Dad and husband I really couldn't have asked God to give me someone better! Jade is almost 20 months old and is a little fire cracker! She talks up a storm and is growing up way to quick! I wish it would slow down but I love watching her grow and seeing her reach new milestones. She makes me proud <3
A lot of new and exciting things are going to be happening in the next few months and I'm just over joyed and ready to experience all of it! Welcome to our life! :)
Here's a few photos from my maternity photo shoot a few weeks ago, I was 35 weeks at the time :) I love our photographer so much, she does an amazing job!
Quick and easy summery snack that the whole family will love including picky toddlers! My daughter absolutely loves this, she could eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner if I let her. It's super simple, only 5 ingredients and it's healthy for you too!
Ingredients: Serves 2
- 6 tbsp Vanilla greek yogurt (or any yogurt you prefer)
- 1/2 cup each - Grapes, strawberries and blueberries (or any combination of fruit you like, we also like to use kiwi and cantaloupe!)
- 2 tbsp Honey roasted sunflower seeds (you can use any kind of nut you like but these are so good and small enough for my daughter to be able to eat with no problem)
First start off by washing and preparing your fruit. I cut my grapes in half and slice my strawberries.
After I have everything prepped I assemble it all together. Truthfully I usually eat this out of a tubberwear container and that's how I prepare it for my husbands lunch but for the sake of this "recipe/tutorial" I wanted to make it look nice and pretty so you could see everything :) And sometimes it's just more fun to make ordinary things extraordinary!
And voila! After about 5 minutes of prep and assembly time you have a quick, healthy and yummy snack or even dessert!
